What’s Your Grail Build?

So what bike have you always wanted to build but never got around to? That one that you just never seem to get to or find and that one way or another you will build some day......for me, it is an early SE Racing OM Flyer

My 1st real BMX bike.  A Gary Littlejohn, the one I had brake tongue instead of a brake bridge.  Never seen another one.
My 1st real race bike.  DG Racer, building one, just so darn expensive.
DG 24, bucket list item.

I’d like to build a Phase II

Duane@shootsbrah.com

Would love to find my old Dirt Bike.  It was stolen in Pompano Beach, Florida in about 1996.  It's a '92 with the block graphics on a Green frame.  Pitchforks, Slam bars, GT (DK-style) stem and GT/Profile cranks.  Superlace hubs.  Would really love to put this back in my collection.

Re: What’s Your Grail Build?

A grail for me at this point would probably be an og futuristic black Trick Star built with all era correct parts. And possibly a blue/chrome 84 Mongoose Expert catalog build.

Re: What’s Your Grail Build?

1985 Hazard Yellow Redline RL-20II was THE bike that I stared at for days in the BMX rags.  I've had a handful of different RL-20II's over the years including an 88 that was solid yellow but never a proper 85 in yellow.  I'm done with old school 100%, but I've got a project in the works to do a new school tribute to it.

Re: What’s Your Grail Build?

I’d have to say my 88 team master I built. Haro’s feel quite common atm with all these remade bikes and parts being released (be better if I didn’t use Facebook) but i still see that one as my grail. In saying that, I would love an 88 streatbeat. I haven’t been able to get my hands on one yet

Re: What’s Your Grail Build?

Feb 1984 Yellow GT Pro Performer - unstamped - Eddie's famed bike replica with the replica jersey, pants and helmet... slowly gathering the parts, frame is a hard one to find.

Re: What’s Your Grail Build?

Purple reign Hutch Trickstar, preferably beat up Patina in rider condition.

I still have to find a Windstyler and build that first, then a Trickstar and I'm done
