Yeah thats a cool bike.  Did Lynn Kaston come up with that design or am I getting it cofused with a different bike.

I don't think so Rick, but I don't know that much about the history to be honest. It didn't say anything about it on the Auburn intro in the bikes section.

Bob Morales would be the guilty party for the Auburn design.  I think that he tried to get Honda yes, that Honda) to make the bike and they weren't interested so he put it upon himself to make it happen.

Yesterday was perfect, me and the boy were raising hell downtown at the end of the day.
It's only cold in the morning.

Re: North Carolina Riders

Do any of you guys have experience with deciphering Standard serial numbers. I have a race frame that a friend gave me that he raced in the early 2000's. It has the remnants of a standard head tube sticker so I am starting with them. He told me in the past that guys would race using the frames they liked and switch brand stickers, but he didn't say he ever did it.

Thanks to some advice I finally was able to find the serial number location.  Some of the powder coat was scratched off and it looks like H99073. Will that tell me anything?

It needs to be cleaned up and has a stuck seat post that I need to get out.

I definitely don't know you can try the Name it forum with pictures.  If you post some pictures here also someone could probably help.

Re: North Carolina Riders

I found some pictures and information in the museum. I am going to reach out to Standard on Instagram for verification but it appears to be a 1999 Standard 125R.
