Re: Vintage mountain bikes.Whos gottem??

Those stumpjumpers are great. I've had a few of those late 90's ones.

Looking for a small Schwinn Homegrown frame.

Cool!  I have a '99 Psyclone.  It had been converted to single speed dropouts by a previous owner.  I haven't put together many parts for it yet as it needs some work & refinishing first.  Is there anywhere to get decals for these?

Re: Vintage mountain bikes.Whos gottem??

Thanks man! For the rust I used aluminum foil and water on the frame, and on the spokes I used a small brass wire brush and water. Afterwards I liberally coated everything in wd-40 and let dry to help prevent re-rusting. Yours looks like it will clean up nicely!

Just having some fun, seems like my interest is switching from bmx to mtb. Recently found myself spending more time searching for mtb stuff. Still own more bmx bikes than mtb but the number of mtbs are quickly growing, I’m pushing close to 50 bikes! neutrallolbig_smile

Re: Vintage mountain bikes.Whos gottem??

Nothing wrong with that.  I have so many of the BMX cruisers I want, I find myself mostly browsing ads for vintage stranding-type 26” cruisers, such as old Schwinns and what not.  I check out vintage MTBs, too.  Bikes are cool...and addictive!

Could those cranks be White Brothers? Outer shape looks right but don't remember the inner design.

97 sir. My old lady is taller than most so it's like fate. Matching 19 and 17, and my buddy took the 15 for his old lady.

Gnarly is when it's beyond radical, it's balls out danger, & or perfection, & or skill or all of that combined. Nobody can shred like that guy, he's gnarly.                                        \m/  ( º . º )  \m/
