Bmx museum app

I am suggesting a bmx museum app. It would be so convenient!

Re: Bmx museum app

I'd be curious what the app could do that you'd prefer over the mobile site ... other than native push notifications.

If there are things on the mobile site I could improve, I'm all ears. When I first built that not many people were on mobile, now it's definitely more than half our traffic—and phones have changed considerably.

Mobile site works just fine for me.

An easier login would be an advantage for me.

NOTE TO: nate
It would be great if we gotta a notification when something sold from our for sale stuff.

The other day I got a PM asking  me if I had shipped the item and it has sold like a week ago!
  lol

I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness............-Emo Philips

I need to build a notifications tab/page that shows a log off all those, so you could check and see the 5 or 10 notifications since your last login—that would really help.

I'm not on here much,  so some type of notification would be great!

Thanks nate!  smile

Re: Bmx museum app

I agree with the notifications as well. I think an app that has notifications when something you are looking for to buy comes up for sale pops up on your phone. I am not sure what else at the moment but like the other guys I am not on here often so it's difficult to know when something happens to your account unless you log in.

Well we can have notifications sent to your phone without an app. You get emails now (which should show notifications on your phone), and I *could* set up the ability to get text messages too. I get the feeling a lot of bmxmuseum users don't like using email (definitely my preferred method of notification) because their email is a mess from spam and whatnot. I've pushed back building out PMs for ages because running an email server at a large scale is not easy, and there are so many free options that do a great job at it.

Anyway: I think a good first step is to have a Notifications section, and show all activity related to you there (just like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, etc). So when you log in, you can see a quickly summary of everything of interest that happened since your last visit.

It's on the list and I'll be working on something soon.
