Re: Good will pickup

Awesome.  I'm going to my Goodwill to see if they have some of those.

My shipping is going to stink from 9/20-9/27...as in ....it's not going to happen.  I'll have spots of no communication, but will mostly be available to discuss.

Hutch Fun Facts: All main line Hutch's with digits only S/N (no letters or baseballs) on the rear drop outs were US made and had their dropouts stamped between late '83 and '86.  Obviously the frame manufacture would occur slightly after that, even if they just threw 'em in a bucket randomly.  There is an obvious date code in that the first 2 digits seem to be the month and the 3rd digit is pretty obviously the last digit of the year running from '83-'86.

Re: Good will pickup

Sweet! cool I try to stop in whenever I'm near my local thrift shops / Goodwill, you just never know! I go straight to the bike section, as well as the electronics section.

Sadly a lot of the bikes at a Goodwill I frequent, are sold at their in store auction and the prices seem to bid up rather high. I haven't seen any "bargains" on the auctioned items, and is most of the really decent items that show up there.

Still, always worth stopping to see; I have found some amazing deals at various shops over the years.

Thanks.  Ya I noticed tires rite off the bat.  And bottle holder.  The rims don't even have any brake rub.  I was shocked.  Ukai rims.

Awesome!  Odd that Schwinn would name a bike after a snake.
