Artistic Cycling. Does anyone do it? Gearing/set up questions.

I have seen some pretty awesome stuff in artistic cycling world and not just the hot euro chicks.  I know it's been done, but I am lacing up a fixed gear wheel for 20 inch flatland, and wonder what kind of gearing I should be using. The bike is not going to be ridden for distance , just within a parking lot.

Question 1: What do you think would be the best gearing option
I have the following on hand  front sprockets - 24,26,27,32,26
                                           rear sprockets -   14,17

Question 2: Should I bother with rear pegs and rear brakes?

Question 3: Would a higher or lower bar set up be more functional?

Not being a smart ass at all... Would you please explain what artistic cycling is?

Sure I could Google it but I'd rather get my info here.  smile

Its flatland on fixie bike popular in europe and asia...I spoke to one of the pros yesterday and he told me the gearing they use is 1:1

Oldschool circus riding. Like Pat Romano's roots.

Until I experience one first hand I will continue to believe that "barn finds" are a hoax

Trevor Meyer rode this setup and competed for a short time.  Here's a clip:

Cool clip Rob... but I really can't make out his gearing... you know what it is?
and he's definitely one of my fave flat riders ever man... (the forks on my Sick Child came from his Sick Child, lol)

I am gonna try 26-14 (my current freecoaster gearing) to see how it works.just to not mess with the chain. The closest I can get to 1:1 is   24-19 setup.

I can do death trucks,no handed, one handed, scuffing etc etc , I can do time machines , I just cant for the life of me do those blenders ( pedaling death trucks in circles)  with normal setup... I am hoping to at least get closer with direct drive.

A pedaling deathtruck with a fixed hub and 1:1 gear ratio would be very unicycle-ish.
