Re: INVERTED PRO NECK: Real Or Real Fake

the lettering is not stamped for starters. more issues but that is a good start when looking for real vs. fake or new.

Yea I agree.  And if you look at the sellers other items he's got two more tuff necks (one inverted), questionable Bullseye cranks (w/new BB), and a ton of bolts as if he's got a line on manufacturing this stuff?  Kinda shady if you ask me.  hmm

Interesting. These guys are getting pretty good at making fakes.

I like to take the edge off at the end of the day with  a couple bottles of wine, a few shots of tequila and fistful muscle relaxers.

Re: INVERTED PRO NECK: Real Or Real Fake

I'm 100% sure it is a REAL fake!!
Meaning its a real inverted stem
But it is a reproduction.
First clue is the pro neck stamp should be centered on a real stem
Also check out the marks on the wedge bolt, a real wedge bolt will only have 3 lines without the triangle. Next the big bolt that threads to the quill should not have any such marks on a real stem, I can see at least a triangle and a line on the big bolt. That's probably the biggest giveaway that this stem is fake. also the cap bolts are not correct.

Re: INVERTED PRO NECK: Real Or Real Fake

Robert Felcher is not to be trusted by his word . After several telephone conversations he sold me a guaranteed nos 3rd gen redline double clamp stem which turned out to be fake along with the recent flood of the same stems that are contaminating the bmx market . After several emails with no proposed refund Robert 'Robbery' Felcher claimed at 67 years old his memory is not as it was and now all my contact with him is ignored . Make up your own minds ....http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/106277/img_819858ac934a31.jpg

This cannot be done as the hole that accepts the shaft doesn't go through the lower part of the Alunimum body.

YES,  but the lettering looks to be CNC'd, not stamped, thats how you can tell the original Profile Spider from the "Retro" models, the retro models were stamped, and not always centered or level.
