Re: Calling all South Carolina riders

I used to live near Clemson before I moved back to Ky.
I have some friends in Greenville that ride but none of them are on the museum.
Good luck

Re: Calling all South Carolina riders

I'm in Spartanburg, SC and would love to hear about a bike show or swap within an hour or two. Need to let the kids see what old school BMX is all about.

Cheers,

Re: Calling all South Carolina riders

Guys, Check out Trans Jam BMX contests this year. The first one is in uptown Charlotte on April 13th. They are also hosting a contest in Athens, GA April 27th. These are close for you guys and you will see some excellent pro level riding. Keith King is the event organizer and is also a museum member. We have been displaying old school bikes at these events for the last 3 years, and Keith even brings some of his own collection to show. These are free, family friendly events and a great way to get together and enjoy old and new school BMX.

I live in Gaston, just south of Columbia. Can't travel to ride much right now because I'm strapped for funds, unless its local smile. But, just wanted to make myself known. Yes another SC rider has popped up!

I'm originally from Charleston.  I used to race in Ladson, at the fairgrounds.  1987.  Grew up off of Dorchester road in North Charleston not too far from the Air Force base.

Re: Calling all South Carolina riders

I recently moved to Mount Pleasant (next to Charleston).  It would be great if we could get a ride together.  I haven't met any grown men on BMX bikes around here yet.  I'm 38.

Re: Calling all South Carolina riders

If a ride gets talked up here, someone let know. Not a lot of site activity but I check swap meet all the time. I'm in Mt Pleasant, nothing here with exception to a few good guys at Mike's Bikes on Folly Rd. Raised in Spartanburg, Eastside high school in Greenville (89). I'm 42. Grew up early 80's with The Bicycle Gallery in Spartanburg, made regular visits to the Great Escape in Greenville.

Re: Calling all South Carolina riders

Can this thread be revived for a guest?  I'll be in Myrtle Beach July 23-28 for my son's baseball tournament.  I don't know whether or not I'm bringing a bike, but I would love to at least meet fellow BMX folk.

Re: Calling all South Carolina riders

Make this ride bigger or perhaps and show meet and greet type and I`ll make the trip up from Florida. Only ride around me is the Critical Mass which has all types of bike and it`s the end of the month. Also St Pete (hour away) has a great BMX ride  but mostly a pub crawl and I don`t drink. Been looking for a long BMX ride and check out bikes.

We'll do it Lou! Would be nice to have some representatives from other states attend. We are talking about having a show and greet at the local Charlotte BMX track (Hornets Nest) at some point. We'll keep you in the loop!
