20 bucks, that like 2-3 days of gas in my truck.......you want to buy something on this site, pay the $ 20 bucks. Most of any thing that I buy, the shipping is any where from $12 -$20.

i'm always online, but I come on the site a few times during the day....

if the for sale section was organized by era? ie;

we could update years accordingly as well. just an idea smile
personally, I'm getting sick of sifting through pages of (what is considered to me as) useless oldschool crap. not insulting anyone's taste in bikes, but a NOS tuffneck stem is totally meaningless to me, and I'm sure other people feel the same way. also vice versa. I'll bet some of you oldschool riders/builders are tired of having to look through 6 posts of newschool shit just to find the part you're looking for! it would be great to skip over all the messaround and get straight to finding the parts you need!

Just no.

Re: wouldn't it be nice?

Can't afford $20 to support the site... wants the site to change to suit him... 99% chance has $500+ smartphone, and a tablet, and a laptop within inches. Rides brakeless because it's "cooler" to buy new $75 shoes every other week rather than a $10 pair of brake pads a couple times a year. Doesn't know what "government cheese" was. Doesn't remember when the family car was the only car the family owned... and it was a Chevy Vega.

Don't mean to be an ass, but $20 is a movie and a coke. The FS and Swap sections are HOURS of entertainment provided for you for free.

your most be talking swap meet. in for sale you can filter it to search and show only say forks. then narrow the search by brand /company and wheel size that fork fits.

Some of us aren't paying the $20, not because we can't afford it...because of our principles.

I hear ya. Torrenting being so easy the barrier to get me into a theater is so high anymore... 15 years ago when I worked downtown used to love my one morning shift a week- get off at 4:00, hit the martini bar across the street for a couple happy hour pops and then catch the last matinee of the day. Today? It's got to be something I'm invested in already and REALLY want to see on the big screen- Trek; Tolkien; Star Wars; or if the double x-chromosome carrier, uh, turns it into an Alanis Morissette song wink

Re: wouldn't it be nice?

i think everything should be the $20, no pics, no choice, you just click on the forks page and pay $20 and whatever forks get sent to you and you like it

That era is CLASSIC, NOT retro. Retro is new bikes that are reminisent of old bikes.

They're reacting and that's wonderful. It's better than them sitting there doing nothing. I say make them react - do whatever's in your power to move the audience, and if that's where it is, and there where it is with America, sex and violence, then I say project it.

Hey guys, this thread started over 4 years ago. I'm guessing he's out of high school by now, and more likely than not, not even on here often if at all anymore.

exactly. I have no use for sugino discs and haro layback seatposts when I'm trying to find a set of eastern cranks. cut the chase and speed up the process. I'd also think there would be more people finding what they need instead of giving up on their search. this would help the buyers and sellers wink

How about using the "for sale" search function instead of having to reorganize the whole section for the same end outcome?  There is an excellent system in place.  You simply have to know how to use it.
