1977 Rampar R10

Dump-found all original parts!

Here is a Rampar I rescued from the metal pile at the my dump.  I have found many great bikes here.  This one was complete.  The only parts I replaced were the seat post, seat and tires.  I added the number plate.  This is my wife's bike, so I used her birth year 77 on the plate.  It just happened to work out that the bike was actually from that year!  Because the bike was found complete, I wanted to use as many of the parts as I could.  I bathed all of the nuts and bolts in brake cleaner.  Anything that was chrome and rusted, I sanded and painted flat black.  The bike was originally an orange color, but we went with silver for the repaint.  Decals found online. A very fun ride.  I am using coaster brakes on all of my daily riders now!

Re: 1977 Rampar R10

That is basically the first real bike I had, got it new in 1977 when I moved to Valencia, CA. If you ever get tired of it or your wife breaks your heart please let me know, I'd love to have another chance to ride it.
