Re: 2000 GT Tour Bestwick X-Games Tribute Bike

The cable guide looks like a gyro tab welded on lower than the production ones...
The decal issue is a weird one.... I think you really need more/better pics ...there must be more pics somewhere???

Re: 2000 GT Tour Bestwick X-Games Tribute Bike

I know. Got any more pictures that might help me? I'm going to collect all the stickers/decals and go from there. It's kind of like trying to build an accurate version of a NASCAR car with all the sponsor logos. haha

That decal sheet reminds me of a comment ultrahive used to have about the Tour set on his old site. He said that the set was made for a famous restoration, one that he was never acknowledged one. Now check out those fork decals. Guess we just found out which famous resto he was on about.

Of course, this makes your decal dilema worse AB. You now have to worry about which fork decals to use, the correct ones, or Ultrahive's double right leg ones. lol

Makes me really curious to see the other side of the post-restoration bike. They never show the other side...

If there was ever any doubt about Ultrhive, it's all gone. This guy is a pro. Sure, no messages from him, but the stickers are straight up perfect and there's tons of extras! The packaging was super strong and awesome too!

Looks like I was right about the Vans sticker too, since he included it. And both sides of the fork stickers are there! no more worrying about destroying the originals when I take em off for powder coating!

Re: 2000 GT Tour Bestwick X-Games Tribute Bike

Hi guys. I'm still planning to continue with this build when life slows back down. The parts pile has been in the closet for a few months. I think the only part I'm missing is a NOS Dia-Compe FS990 in black. I had a set in chrome, but I'm going with one of each. Other than that, I think it's just paint, anodizing and assembly left to do. But of course, once I get it all back out, I'll get anal again about detail and probably find something else. Looks like I'll have a pile of extra parts left over too.
