Thanks, man.

I have a Reynolds Racing "Puppy" that I'm willing to part with. It has the same frame design (Kastan-built) as the Super Model. It'll be freshly decaled this weekend, too. Interested?

Re: 1999 Reynolds Racing Supermodel

I just added new one-off stickers and some new parts. Leave me some feedback and let me know what you think?

I think I might need a red seatpost clamp and a chrome seatpost. Thoughts? Missing anything else?

Thanks guys.

Actually, that message from Craig(on vintagebmx.com) was directed toward me. It was all a serious misunderstanding. I've since talked it over with him and he's personally given me permission to repop them. He's allowed me to make only a few sets and I gave him my word that I'd not make a penny on them. Production was limited to 10 sets, all but 2 of which were spoken for by other Reynolds enthusiasts, one even a factory 2B/Reynolds Racing rider. Craig assumed I was mass producing them and making a profit. I'm actually losing money on them since shipping rates went up and I committed to selling them for $35 shipped via Priority Mail. (I paid $28.00 plus tax for each set to be produced)

Craig and I are old Chicago-area friends and there are definitely no bad feelings regarding the decals. I thought it would be a shame to make only 2 sets for my frames so I had a few more made to extend a courtesy to others...I have a job so I don't need to make any extra $$$ selling bootleg decals. Just wanted my frames (and others') to look nice again.

awesome man! I thought the Chi-town hustler was going to lay down a court order !
I have a mongoose crx in the museum I thinks it his , no serial # only the word REYNOLDS stamped on the bottom bracket shell, nos till I put forks and a stem on it no headset was pressed yet or bearing threaded in the bottom bracket. It also has a different decal then yours on the seat stay.

I'm glad Craig and I worked it out. I knew it was all a misunderstanding but it was still no fun upsetting an old friend.

Re: 1999 Reynolds Racing Supermodel

Thanks for the feedback. I just swapped out the seatpost and added a NOS red ano TNT seatpost clamp to the build. I think it looks good so I'll post updated pics for more feedback. Skinwalls coming soon possibly.

Very nice.  Those were some of the nicest bikes in the 90's .  It is nice to see a local guy make it.

Yep. No doubt. He was/is a great guy, too. Pleasure to ride with track, trail, and park (S.C.R.A.P.)and a good role model for the kids.

Thank you. There's just something about black/red that I've always loved on a race bike.

Not sure...Should I park them right next to one another to make it even more obvious?

Hmmm...
