1985 Redline PL-24

80's PL-24 Never assembled F/F

I just stumbled across my dreambike.  I picked up a mint condition mid 80's Redline PL-24 frame and forks.  Both are brand new, never assembled and in the rafters for 25 years or so.  The original stickers were taken off, except for the Proline PL-24 sticker on the top tube.  All of the residue from the glue is still there.  The owner said they didn't even remember taking them off.
Updated with new decals.

Re: 1985 Redline PL-24

I am guessing 1985-86 but would need to see more photos and complete serial number.

Re: 1985 Redline PL-24

I think Jason's right.  If that's the original sticker, it would be 85-86.  83-84 used the black and grey stickers (where the PL-24 designation was on the seat tube, not the top tube), and 87-88 didn't come in chrome as far as I know.  I miss my PL24 to this day.  Worst part is, I have no recollection of ever getting rid of it.  I think my rents mighta cleaned out the garage while I was in Japan.

Re: 1985 Redline PL-24

Thanks Blkout, i need to get off of my a$$ and update the museum photos.  BTW - my bike in 83 was a DB formula one.  Your silver streak brought back some memories.  Lots of DBs in my neighborhood.  That white one was yours right?  That bike is pristine...
