Re: 1977 MCS Spider

So I guess you like yellow?  wink Very nice bike.  I love the Tuff 1s  I didn't know MCS was making bikes this far back.  At first I thought it was a Takara (rear tri's different, tho).  Shows what I know...

DUDE!  I just saw you're in Waukegan!  I was in Zion for a wedding last year.  Nice area.  Wouldn't wanna be there in November tho.

Re: 1977 MCS Spider

Very nice bike!

I had the same frame/fork set up in the early 80's but frame was chrome. I loved those 500b forks too!

Dude, that is a cool bike. This is the guy who called with the Cook Bros survivor and the Swingbike. You were right the cranks on my Cook Brothers are the DuraAce Black series also. I will probably check the bike and should have more info. Thanks for the help!cool

Re: 1977 MCS Spider

Wooooh... that brings me back. Soooo trick! I had my eye on mcs as a kid before I had a proper bmx (literally, I was on a handmedown girls Schwinn)  and didn't understand why I saw them in the magazines and not in my LBS. I wanted one when I got my redline. Man. Great job hooking that up. Especially the uni and kingsburry with the yellow... the plate... Spot on.

Re: 1977 MCS Spider

Im pretty sure the Spider came out in 79 as a replacement to the Z-1. I got a Z-1 (to recreate my first race bike ever) Hopefully I will get a Spider and Magnum one day. Your Spider looks great.

Good luck.  Dion doesn't come around much anymore since all his bikes got stolen.
