Post Your BITD Pics
So I am pretty sure this has been done before...but I couldn't seem to find the thread (maybe in the archives), so I thought I would start a new one. ![]()
Found this old picture of me racing in Escanaba, MI from June 1985. I am in the gray/white Haro digs, looks like I am running second. It was obviously early in the season because I am still wearing a motorcycle helmet...I didn't get a race helmet until later. The bike is a Patterson PR200, which unfortunately was sold at a yard sale a few years later when I lost interest in riding.
I plan on trying to recreate it at some point, although I can't find any pics that show details. Funny looking at this picture because I thought that I used to have a Zeronine plate, but this sure looks like a Haro Tech Plate. I also didn't think I had Patterson pads, but again looking at this picture I am mistaken. And I thought I only ruined my short term memory when I was younger!
Anyway, I think pics like this are cool so post what you have!
BTW...that is my best friend Gary in 1st. He is riding a Traker, which was his first real BMX bike and was really light. He won quite a bit. He also had a PR200 but liked racing the Traker because it fit him better.

Re: Post Your BITD Pics
Cool bit of your history David. Thanks for sharing. There was a guy that would sell photographs of the competition at both the St. Pete and Sarasota tracks in the mid-'80s. I remember my parents buying a few of me racing back then. I wonder if they still have them. I need to check next time we get over there.

Re: Post Your BITD Pics
I only have a few of my old pics scanned so far, need to do the rest.
Here's me on my MCS Z-1 at a construction site jump, late '77 or '78.
On one of my Magnums at the original Coral Springs track, '82.
On my GT at my friend Terry's house. Rickety azz quarter pipe built up against a telephone pole in the dirt alley behind his house. The power company made us tear it down. '83 or so.
Stylin' in the BK parking lot on my RL-20, '89.

That's some sick stuff Pete...catching some serious air! And I love the 'fro in pics 1 & 4...you need to bring that back
.
I wish I could find some more pics...I didn't really like getting my pictures taken back then so that may be why I can't find more. But I will keep looking!
