sweet bike. i love the early mosh bikes. have one myself. if its
a kastan made mosh, it should have mexico stamped on the inside
of one of the rear drop outs.

and i doubt its a pro xl. my pro xl has a 22" (maybe 21.5) top tube.

its a freaking huge bike. really too big for me but i still enjoy it smile

Its not a Kastan made Mosh.  The welds where the dropouts are welded onto the stays are ground smooth and polished on the Kastan bikes, and the dropouts themselves are smaller.  There's also a built in seat post clamp on the Kastan bikes, as well as a 20.5TT for the Pro, and a 21.5 for the XL.

The Decals are certainly period correct.  If it didn't have an XL decal I'd be inclined to say they're original.

I'm only coming off those bars when Fiona finds another pair she can't live without.  Then they're yours. wink

Good info here, Donnie.

Jason, have you taken this puppy for a cruise yet?  If so, how does it feel?!  Maybe we'll need to take this and my Holmes for a shakedown booze cruise tomorrow!  tongue

Re: I finished building my Mosh. Check it out!

FYI - the Decals are Correct - sort of.
I've had several of these pass through my hands -and the aluminum XL are always really short -under 20".
I've had the chromoly frames -and ironically, the PRO seem to really be an XL.
I think they just had some people in the factory in Taiwan who had no idea what the stickers meant.

I did have One aluminum ProXL that was actually longer -at 20.25".

So, do your chain tensioners actually fit into the channel? - OR -rest on the outer lip - and doesn't that one have the ovalized recess anyway?
I just got a Rave, and I can't fit any of my tensioners into the recess on the rear dropout.  Maybe Donny knows what to do?

Re: I finished building my Mosh. Check it out!

Since this thread has come back to life, does anyone have a hook up on getting Mosh decals?  Ive got a cruiser sitting in the shed that would make a killer winter build.
