Cool looking OM. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who likes a comfortable seat. I really like the look of your retro foil/prism decals. I've considered doing the same to my SE.

Re: 26" BMX Cruiser Thread- Let's see 'em
Thanks to MelvinsArmy, I finally got a K-26 rolling. This might be my favorite ride of all time. Built it up with Profile hubs, stem and sprocket, Dx brakes and pedals, S&M bars. My brother hand built the wheels with W/S spokes. Rides like an absolute dream. Love to see Kappa come back one day, or for someone to pick up where the K-26 left off.

That is my old K-26 I sold to Melvin's Army. That thing gets around more than the slutty chick in high school.
Looking good and glad the silver King headset and silver TNT clamp is still with it.

Re: 26" BMX Cruiser Thread- Let's see 'em
Yeah Coco, a special mention goes to you in the museum section....I was so distraught when I saw that you had sold it from Regina just weeks before I began a serious search for one. I grew up in Winnipeg and spent much of my youth in Regina....and now being in Vancouver, it would have been an easy transaction for us.... Alas, I put out the word to all Kappa owners and this one came back up. I sure don't mind that my new ride is a "slut"
With some luck, this one will go to Brazil with me next year.

Re: 26" BMX Cruiser Thread- Let's see 'em
Heres a 38 Colson, I got the frame in yesterday and chemical stripped it, painted it, then built it back up, super fun rider. I've always wanted a Newport S&S 26" cruiser and won't be able to afford one from the way it looks, so, this will have to do, I really like it.![]()

Re: 26" BMX Cruiser Thread- Let's see 'em
Here's a couple builds i've been working on lately, the first is an american made Huffy mountain bike conversion, put a straight fork on it with Redline monster cranks, Snafu pedals, S&M cruiser bars, Kenda K-Rad tires with a custom laid back post I welded up, bike rides awesome. Second one is a 1938 Colson that I made into a retro cruiser, Skinwalls from Porkchop, Redline Lo-pro pedals, Diamondback cruiser bars with Diamondback front 44t drive sprocket, another super nice rider.

Next, the Colson,...

I have a theory that half the world's population originates from Regina. I'm glad you finally found a K-26! Drop me a line if you ever cruise through here again at some point.

Re: 26" BMX Cruiser Thread- Let's see 'em
I just finished my first 26" MTB>BMX cruiser project. I used it as an experiment before I spend more serious money on a 26" BMX frame. I found a used MTB with cro-moly frame for $45. I kept the frame, fork, rims, seat post, seat and rear brake from the MTB. Everything else is new. It's a really comfortable and fun bike to ride. I will have to invest in a stronger frame and rims if I ever want to do anything more than cruising with this. Fun project resulting in a fun bike!
