Picked up a bunch of local brews in Boyne City yesterday. Sampling arcadia ales "Angler's Ale" right now. Tell me some good local brews. We plan to go to Traverse city one day this week. Since this has turned into a northern Michigan thread, might as well keep telling me about cool things to do and cool local brews! We have an awesome house on the mountain. A ski lift goes right over the house... just wish I had a downhill bike!

Anything Bell's or Founders is worth picking up. On your way back through Ohio, definitely pick up some Great Lakes. If you're into hoppy IPAs, Commodore Perry is awesome. Edmund Fitzgerald is a good one if you're into porters.

In dog beers I've only had one.

Looks like a retro 26" to me as well.I was born in Sault Ste.Marie Ontario.Played travel hockey all over Michigan.Played a tournament in Traverse City.Their high school has it's own rink from what I remember.they have a big annual cherry festival there.Mackinaw Island is the shizz too.No cars allowed and everyone gets around by bikes. Also played in West Branch,Lansing,St clair shores,Mt.Clemens,Sterling heights,Fraser and a ton of other cities.Pine Knob was a killer place to go.Miles of trails for the snowmobiles and held rock concerts there.Lived off of 8 Mile road for awhile but heard it is a rough hood now. Also lived in Warren off of 11 mile rd.and hoover.Moved to Florida in 83' to get away from the snow!LOL The blizzard of 76' was insane!Snow drifts right over the roofs of houses.

Thats cool Im also from Michigan only been here in Florida for 3 years now.. Hey do you remember the bike shop at the south west corner of 12 and hoover ? I bought my first new Hutch there Back in 81. Just cant remember the name
