if you can draw a picture on paper with them, they are graphite

Graphites are made with carbon fiber mixed with nylon.  On the inside of the rim, where the tire is seated, there will be some pen or marker markings.  Graphites start with a "CF" code.  But the easiest way to tell if your wheels are graphites are that they will have gold anodized hubs.

Yup.... a 20% mixture of long strand carbon fiber in pellet form, mixed with 80% Zytel nylon pellets melted together and shot through the injection molding machine.  That's how a Graphite Tuff Wheel is born. 

Tuff 1's are made with DuPont Zytel nylon.... same as Tuff 2's.
