I've never seen that, but I have seen a dirtbike with a 1" Threadless Stupid fork and neck combo.
yea ive seen alot of them done but it makes it alot more weak for sure. lacal bike shop actually has a early 1 inch dirtbike that they shaved out of the headtube to make 1 1/8th cups fit into it. i was actually alittle pissed cause i wanted to buy it but not after that was done. if you have a 1inch s&m leave it a 1 inch please lol ![]()

it can be done without modifying the frame or fork. the last one i did i used the 1" cups and bearings from a tioga mx 2 headset and a bunch of different 1 1/8 races and top dust caps. you'll definitely need a bunch of various 1 1/8 stuff to make it look and work descent. i loose balled a top cup in the past because i couldnt get the top to seat properly with the cage in there. it ended up working real smooth in the end though. its kinda fun making stuff work when it technically shouldnt. give it a try!
in search of Revenge Industries da'kine grips. specifically white, brown, orange, purple. i'll even consider black and both greens. pm me if you have some for sale.

Are you are using a threadless fork? I modified an aluminum cup 1 1/8" threadless headset by shaving the cups down with a file and sandpaper to fit inside the 1" frame. It took some patience but the end result was good. Prob wouldnt be strong enough to jump but all I rode was flat on the bike.

i think RDB wants to put a 1 1/8 threadless set up on a frame with 1" headtube. with a 1 1/8 threadless fork and stem, it should be pretty easy if you have a tioga mx 2 1" threaded headset and a pile of spare 1 1/8 races and such. the 1 1/8 fork tube should fit thru the smaller bearing cups, but just barely.
but, as memmy said, your probably better off just using a threaded 1" fork and quill stem.

This bike is awesome!!!! one of the best built s&ms I've seen in awhile. Original and those hubs!!!! I'd like to get my hands on a 36h set of black(purplish) SS's
A sight for sore eyes to the blind would be awful majestic. It would be the most beautiful thing that they ever had seen. It would cause such surprise, it would make all of their minds electric. How could anyone tell them that some things are not what they seem?

Thermal count is rising, In perpetual writhing. The primordial ooze, And the sanity they lose. Awakened in the morning, To more air pollution warnings. Still we sleepwalk off to work, While our nervous systems jerk. Pretending not to notice, How history had forebode us. With the green house in effect, Our environment was wrecked. Now, I can only laugh, As I read our epitaph. We end our lives as moles, In the dark of DAWN PATROL

Re: S&M hoarders unite
I worked late today. Got home, and downed a 6-pack while putting this together. I took it out riding, and it got dark....so now I cannot get any good pictures of it because the lighting in my apartment SUCKS! ![]()
Don't hate on the crazy chain. I threw it on because it was the only complete chain I had on hand, and I was fresh out of beer and patience to get involved with building a chain from the various chains I have laying around
However, I think I am going to keep the crazy chain. It was on the first S&M I bought when I got back into this hobby. Which was also a chrome Holmes. Now owned by Joker, btw.
Anyway, here's some crappy pictures in even crappier lighting. One thing...the primo pedals are seriously grippy! I never used them before.

Some future projects;
Everything I own is for sale. Pm any interest.
