I own the frame in the original ads it`s Paul Osicka`s prototype frame notice is doesn`t have brake mounts and it also has a longer top tube than the production models. Paul stripped the stickers off of it except for the headtube sticker and the one on the top tube by the seatpost mast.
Thats Awesome i have always wondered about that photo. i assumed it was photo shopped or a pre production photo rendering i didn't know he was riding brakeless at that time. you have some sweet bikes, the pink tao you have for sale is crazy cool:cool:. do you have any pics of that tao it would be cool to see! how lone is the top tube? it got me to thinking and mesered mine its almost 19''

Here is Paul Osicka`s prototype Tao the one from the magazine ads. There are no brake mounts as Paul didn`t use a back brake, there is no serial number and it has a 19 1/4" top tube. Good stuff

This bike only came with one stickers, well two of the same they are in the wrong spot but are correct for the bike's year and color. the orignal owner wanted a sleek-clean look so he only put the two on. didn't save/have the others.

I never know until I am finished. Going to strip the frame and paint it silver. The bars and forks are getting fresh black paint. I have a polished Casket stem and purple anno Sovos 48h hubs I want to use. Other than that, I am not sure. I have a friend that sold the bike originally at the LBS and hooked me up with this bike.

I was just curious, I like 4pc bars. I have seen people use those bars and use the 1'' Dia Compe tech 99's or the 1'' Odyssey Modulevers

Yeah I use modified Tech 77's on my 6pc Strip Bars. I just opened them up from 7/8" to 1", so I can run the bars a little narrower.
