Nothing too rare. Everything is original, except for the S&M issued repops, and the all over shield decals. Those are custom. Also, the Tikki decals were made by the same guys that made the decals for the frames, so not really repops.

Just a heads up man, those Tiki decals were from the original batch that we used to sticker the frames. The ones (2nd batch) we had redone, have the "Shoots & Mahalos" stix on a separate sheet.

Would love to find an old Mad Dog, Holmes and Platform Dirt Bike. I'd like some 1st Gen Slams. I also need to find some stickers for an HAF and an early Challenger. Is anyone doing repops?

+1.....this whole original this and that stuff really gets old. The point is to build bikes any way you like them to look. There are no rules, its all about having fun. I see no reason why anyone should have a problem with repop stickers, after all, the're just stickers for gods sake.
New concept.........having fun riding instead of worrying about the stickers.Well, here's the thing. I am not a freak on era correctness. I like to ride what I build, that's why unless I get a good deal, I'll have maxxis tires on my rides instead of rainbow label comp III's. I agree, build the bike how you want it, I just don't think it's the same when you have repopped parts, whether they are stickers or actual parts. I do have fun riding my bikes, but where does the repop thing end? Stickers now, but then what? They already re-did the holmes and the pre pitch fork (which there is really no way to tell them from the original). Why not repop shafted red necks and prince albert cranks?
I'm sure people would LOVE that, just like they love JDB's repro'd hutch parts...Not me, it's not my thing...I like original parts from BITD on my bikes, not reproduced parts that someone is making because they want to have the look of a vintage bike, but don't want to wait for the part to pop up or pay the money for it when it does...Maybe eventually you'll have a completely reproduced bike with all new parts that look vintage but aren't...Wouldn't that be great?
Well I do see what you mean, its just that each person has things that matter to them. whe I started racing I was 12 years old, about to turn 13. Up till then my first real bike was a DB Super Viper, but I bought a Haro Group 1 RS1 and had custom built wheels on that bay. Changed out the grips and pedals too. Then added the Uni Turbo seat and went with Comp III tires. I was never big on factory spec bikes, never wanted one then and still dont want one now. After a 21 year racing run, I still to this day change lots of parts.....and if the stickers get jacked, I replace them. Although raod bikes have a clear coat over them which makes them look a bit out of place, but I have done that several times on the chainstay. I look at bikes as a ever evolving thing, from the tires to the parts to the stickers if need be. I've always felt that keeping up your bike with whatever gives you an edge is a good thing. And........if I did have a Homes and needed to replace the stickers, I would order 2 sets from S&M and replace them no questions asked. But Im no collector and original means very little to me. All 5 of my bikes are 2011, with a 6th on the way from 2012. I have 2 extra sets of stickers for my 2012, which is cool. But if S&M does a repro in 5 or 10 years, that would be the same to me. Im not into OG anything I guess. as a matter of fact, I dont like OG for the most part. If someone offered me 2 sets of Profile box cranks for my repro sets, I would say no thanks! lol Era correct, O.G. old school, new school have little value to me. But everyone has their thing.![]()

Not sure if you believe in karma, but you'll get paid back by the bicycle "Gods". Hope that doesn't offend anyone.
Good on ya to be able to help out a victim. Can you help the police by providing them w/the info on the guy you bought it from?

Are you sure this isnt a scam. Does the original owner have a police report?
How long ago did you buy it? If you just bought it, why did the guy put this up now? or has he been doing it for awhile?
I'd probably get the police involved and see if the guy was arrested as he states..
Too many scammers out there nowadays ![]()

Re: S&M hoarders unite
Well, just got done with that whole thing. He did / does have a police report, and the person who stole it got arrested back in 2009. I took him to the place where I had the frame powder coated, because I didnt pick it up yet form there. He paid the bill for the frame and handlebars of mine to be powder coated.
Scam, I dont think so. He seems like a genuine guy. He said hes been posting that add on craigslist every few months for the last 3 years, just missed the add where I found it and bought it. Also he knows a guy that I work with at Creech AFB. He had bunch of pics form when he bought the bike back in PA and sill has a bunch of his late early 2000's S&M parts.
All in all im glad to help him out, and im not out any money, actually a little ahead because he paid for my handlebars to be powder coated. Now just waiting for the ''bike gods'' to hook me up with a sweet deal
Also I showed him this website and he said hes going to check it out and become a member.

It's essentially an updated Challenger. IMO they ride great. You'll have to measure the top tube to determine length as they made them in several sizes.
