BMX in the Smithsonian?
There doesn't seem to be any presence in the Smithsonian located in Washington D.C. other than this stamp:
That would be an incredible place to visit but to see some BMX as a whole represented would be pretty cool.
Wouldn't a demonstration of a mid 70's Redline Squareback progressing to mid 80's Day-Glo Freestyle then on to 90's flatland and then on to new school PARK/DIRT be something to behold?

There doesn't seem to be any correct spelling happening in Prince George either. It's Smithsonian.

When evaluating the history of America. the "Hutch Trickstar" does not belong next to the Spirit of St. Louis or the Apollo 11 lunar module
I have to disagree!! All 3 were made in AMerica, which one had more effect on US history? or was used/loved by more americans?
To me, IMHO bmx has just as much right as either of those items.

If Fonzies jacket, Indiana Jones' hat, whip and jacket and the Ronco Veg-O-Matic 2 deserve a place there, I would say that BMX should have a spot.

Also, the Smithsonian has a lot more than just american stuff in there. It's not an American only museum, it's a museum in America.
