1984 Hutch Trick Star
1984 Hutch Trick Star
I didn't know what a "holy grail" was back in the day, but we whispered its name: Trickstar. Where I grew up that was the bike dreams were made of.
Only one kid on my street had one. It was chrome and he beat the hell out of it. Threw it on the ground, try a trick, fail, straighten out the bars and beat it some more... I felt sorry for it. One day he came down the street and it was like a showdown, just me and him... He was a few years older but I did my best miami hopper, and the biggest endos I could do to impress on my Thruster Vanishing Point. It was enough.. and he let me ride his Trickstar... Yes!! The headset was loose, the brakes barely worked... bald tires... wtf!? But I still wanted one! Fast forward 27 years and here she is..... A couple more parts to swap and it'll be done. For now it hangs at my shop like a Picasso.

Re: 1984 Hutch Trick Star
The fork pegs are shorter on the 84's too. I think some later 84's had serials too not certain though. You should post your question cause there are guys in this forum that know trickstars inside out!
