Yeah, those wheels are nice. I wouldn't mind that complete bike either.  I was also pricing a set of new DK's from JR. I don't think I can get a cassette set for under 300 new.

I was thinking about making a set for my TS. I hate to pay that kind of money for a real set!!!  I have a set of new school bars that are close to the same size. I will just tig the smaller 1/2in bar in. It kills me to pay that kind of money when the real deal does not even have a Hutch stamping or anything!  Most die hards will say but they are not OG, I say the money I save is better then  a set of bent up old a$$ bars. Need a set too Barkzine ,

Naa, I'm good. I'll hang on to my Woody Itsons I paid $20 for back in '87.

Those Buff/Mike D's look like the real deal to me. I wouldn't have known unless someone mentioned it.

What brand of bars were those originally?

Those on my bike are Hutch Mike D's. Lenny was painting them and getting measurements for his "Tribute" bars.

Makes you wonder when we'll start seeing copies of "rare" stuff coming in from china. Once they figure out people are paying big $$$ for old handlebars and stuff, they'll be churning out "Hutch" seat posts, bars, cranks, pedals and anything else you can think of. They already do it with guitars, it's really easy to pass off a fake Gibson Les Paul if you're not an expert. Those are marked with Gibson logos' and even have serial numbers.  Real Les Pauls are $1500++ and the chinese knock offs are $350-500. A lot of this old bike stuff isn't stamped anywhere. It'd be near impossible to tell for sure if they do even a halfway decent job on them. I don't think I'll be shelling out $150 for a seat post that nobody can prove is "really" Hutch. It'd really screw up a lot of people (and the hobby) if all of a sudden nobody wanted to pay $400 for a set of bars or pedals because they can't prove they are the real thing. Anything can be duplicated nowadays if there's a $$ to be made.

Dang, wish I could've gotten a screen shot off my phone earlier, my FST was on the front page. And Garren, Lenny was contemplating having a BMX swap at his house in the near future. Maybe do a little ramp and flat riding over at his compound.

On a 24" wheel 9t x 25t is pretty freakin steep.

Get me some 24" tan walls.
