Happy about this find!

So since my Daughter and I finished the 1998 GT Performer build I have been on the hunt for the next build...

Well today I found it!

I believe it to be a 1985 (not sure) Diamond Back "Mini Viper" 16". It is complete and all original.

There's nothing better than doing something like that with your kid.  It should look real cool, especially with the loopy.

Re: Happy about this find!

I had a Huffy with a rake like that on it. Great no-hander bike. lol

My friends and I used to jump department store minis in the woods back in NY. Hilarious watching a big guy come down hard and just tumble and fling the bike in the air. Good times.

Nice DB! Can't wait for updates!

Awesome find! Decals and serial appear to be 88, but I'm no expert on Diamond Backs. I picked one up myself today (DB, not a mini though), pics sometime tomorrow =]

Re: Happy about this find!

its an 88 but cool pit either way, if you decide to powder it make sure you trim off the chain guard tabs on it. keep us updated on the build.

Re: Happy about this find!

When I looked through the Museum bikes the '88 Mini Vipers did not have the loop tail, had to go back to '85 to find one with these decals and the loop.

Did you maybe look at one title and click another pic at the same time?

Well that settles it, it is a 1988. cool

We took the bike apart last night and began cleaning it up. The chrome is coming back very nicely!! She wants to keep this one for her "rider" bike and wants to have all the non-chrome parts done in pink... So I'm on the hunt for some pink 16" tires for it. smile
