The Super Goose is Loose...
I Picked up this USA Made 1982 Super Goose late last night. The Rear Wheel is a Pro Class laced to a Suzie Hub. The Front Wheel is A Araya 7X Lace to a Shimano Blue Hub. It Has A Ano Blue Tuf Neck Stem. The Crank, sprocket, and seat post clamp are all stamped Mongoose. The Bars Are Mongoose. The Seat post is a early 90's GT. The Rear Brake is a Lee Chi. There are no dents are dings on this bike,But it is quite Rusty. In some places the rust has eaten through the chrome, and the chrome is peeling. THIS IS NOT A PRE SALE THREAD! THIS IS A SCORE THREAD ONLY...

Congrats nice pick up..not sre why they went away from nickel finish.
Would be neat to see what an Oxalic bath could do for this frame set.
Lots of Goose parts there, great start on a classic!

Thanks Gary. I am not sure why they stopped using the nickel finish either. A OA Bath would do wonders for this Goose,But the chrome is starting, and has already pealed off in a few places. It Does have a lot of the goose parts on it so that is a Good Thing for Sure...

Do you plan on having the frame re-chromed?

I would not have the Bike re-chromed. I will probably just clean the bike, and parts up a bit and that's about it.

Re: The Super Goose is Loose...
I Was Able to clean up the Tuf Neck stem today. The Stem cap bolts were a pain to get out,but in the end I Won
Over all the stem is in decent survivor condition. There are a few scratches here, and there, but nothing to major....

I don't think the bars are stamped, but they are mongoose bars. I Put the bars back on the bike with a black 80's Diamond back stem then realized that the bars are bent. So They are no Good...
