1988 Thruster 300 Volt

I just finished this bike for a friends son.

I don't know much about the frame it's self but from what I understand this was thrusters last stand before closing up shop.

Very nice bike! I found a Thruster 300 on CL for cheap. I hope to have it cleaned up and posted soon. They sure look a lot like the 1988 GT Performers.

Re: 1988 Thruster 300 Volt

well, i've had it for a few months now and i have to say i'm very happy with it, just rebuilt the bottom bracket, put a new chainwheel and shorter cranks (kept the one-piece old school cranks style though) as well as put some new grey oury's on it as the redline grips on it had turned to jelly.  apart from that, replaced the old front wheel with an old one i had lying around with decent bearings,  got rid of the gyro and just put an odyssey linear slic brake cable on it with a new rear brake, also ordered a new alex rim with odyssey hub for it, just need a new tyre and tube and waiting on a 16t rear cog to complete it

thinking of getting some skyway tuffs for it in black though, any thoughts?
