1995 Mongoose Supergoose

Aluminum Land Rocket

This is my 1996 Mongoose Supergoose Comp from back when i was a kid. I remember wanting this bike because if its awesome aluminum frame.
Some of the parts rusted from lake-jumping, but considering that this bike has been completely submerged in water many many times and left out in the rain, its held up quite nicely.
I have two of these bikes. I bought one on ebay to use for parts to restore my original supergoose. (still in progress)
Ive only noticed two issues with these bikes. One is with the frame that i bought on ebay, there is a crack in the steering tube under the mongoose badge. My other frame ive jumped quite a bit and it has no cracks.
On both frames, there are these plastic pieces that go under the brake arms. These pieces hold a spring in place. Without these pieces the brakes dont work. I was talking with my local bike shop guy and he said it was an issue for 2 years with these specific shimano brakes. All 4 pieces i have from both my supergoose frames are cracked and useless, therefore so are the brakes. Its no big deal, you just need to replace the brakes if those pieces break.
The bike is stock except for the following:
-Mongoose Pads
-Haro Fusion Aluminum Handlebars
-ODI Grips / Donuts (Worn and covered with electrical tape in these pics)
-Blue Axle Nuts
-Odyssey Pitbull II Brake Lever
This bike is currently being built up with awesome parts. Ill post more pictures when its finished...
