Re: Finally!! A Powerlite Thread!! I've Been Waiting For One.
Ok guys, need your 2 cents worth here. I have 2 sets of Powerlite cranks, the beefy FSA Afterburners 180s and now a set of Powerlite "Redline" 180s. Which would be the "correct" cranks for my 96' P61 aluminum? I will be selling the ones not used. As a note the FSA do not have the correct spindle but instead have the adapters for the tapered spindle.

Re: Finally!! A Powerlite Thread!! I've Been Waiting For One.
The description on eBay (oops) said Powerlite Cranks. I bought them and they included a redline BB and the splines/spindle are of redline type. They look like single pinch bolt 401's
Oh well if not Powerlite then I'll use on another bike and keep the FSA/Afterburners on the Powerlite.

Ok FSA's stay on Powerlite and I just ordered a sealed tapered BB for it for now. The other cranks will go on my '08 PK build till I get some SE cranks.

The serial # won't help you on the Taiwanese models. That looks like a Spitfire from, say, 2000.

Re: Finally!! A Powerlite Thread!! I've Been Waiting For One.
I too just bought another powerlite, I think its a Spitfire Aluminum but not sure. Got great deal on it and will use the parts to finish my P61 to "spec" as the new bike has the missing components I needed. I'll probably sell or build the new F&F for my kid.

+1 all the spitfires were aluminum and that doesnt look like aluminum. hey did you know that Walt Disney couldn't say aluminum, he would just say aruminumnum.
anyways i can't say tuberculosis. anyways i am tripping out on the deraillur on the back. how do you change gears with no cable?
