In 1992 when it came out I think only Billy Harrison, Ron Lesnack, Clay Goldsmid (my partner) and Rob Dolecki had the two piece frames. I rode only 24 and we didnt make one then. I seem to remember now it came not only in Black or Blue but maybe all chrome also. When Brian Foster and Eric began riding for Hyper I am almost certain they both started on the Metro 1 piece frame. I'm thinking (again from memory with no data to back it up lol) that the first bikes they ran where other companies and we put HPR-20 stickers on them.

Billy Harrison and Ron Lesnack did the East Coast tour and Rob and myself the West Coast. So Billy and Ron may have done a clinic near you guys. I remember in 93 when I moved back to NJ we went to the Akron National. Cool seeing the derby track.

Eric did have a blue frame but it was the Metro frame, not the two piece model shown here. This design did not really work out and did not last long. The Metro is what Carter, Foster, and Morales rode.......yes Robbie Morales of Fit Bike Co. Robbie rode with Hyper for a short period of time and we had some fun in those days.

Winetaster - You remember the days in the Hyper van crammed with 8-10 bikes and riders right? Or did you leave before all the fun?

I remember these frames, I kid in town had a blue one.

The first Hyper was a two piece frame. Originally it was our concept to offer a choice of two different front and rear ends. So you could build the bike as you saw fit. But it was so costly to build, we just went with traditional design after.
Carter could have joined us in 92 sometime. But dont remember if he made any races for us in 92. I was out West and he coulda went to a end of year race liek the Grands that I hadnt, but I can say for sure I dont think he ever raced a 2 piece Hyper.
Besides Robbie we also had Darrin Waterbury from CT and Travis Turreson from Australia and TJ Taylor from NJ. Even Dave Kapigian rode one. I dont remember any crammed trips that must have been after I moved back West. For 94 we added Rocket Rich Houseman and co sponsored on of the fast Gardezabal brothers. I also hooked up Mike Darnely and we had a deal in place to sponsor the CFC team but it fell thru after my partner felt we just couldnt afford it.
Great times, Hyper was growing so fast. I left the company in 94 sometime, Clay and me had irreconcilable differences as they say lol.
Basically I was a better jumper (looks around to see if Clays listening, nope yeah I was so much better at doubles).

Tho... I just saw Eric Carter's wikipedia page and it says he was on Hyper from 1992, which I don't think is correct.  One more thing... I know Brian Foster was on Cycle Craft at the 1992 Quaker State because I remember him destroying everyone.
