Oh wellJeff, if you don't enter, I promise I will call you at random times late at night and early morning off and on until next year.
No one cares about who has the most original or rarest anything.
Tyler S., no bad blood here on my part. Paul and I could help with the mid/new school. Not ours of course.
entering or not, i would love for every bike that can be there to be there. Rob since you and paul are entering that just wouldnt be fair
I dont consider me and dad bmx gurus or anything but we feel we make it fair as possible for everyone. if you dont have bikes or dont want to enter them, then come enjoy the raffle, track and atmosphere of "Brains & Bikes" !!!! ![]()

Tyler, I will show my bikes, but they don't have to be judged. As long as i can do the raffle, I will be fine.

Im not sure if we can get power to the fan, oak mountain has alot of shady trees around the track so the sun wont be directly on everyone. not sure about the generator...ill run that by the track director.

Were will everything be setup? Around the track or in the grassy area next to the track?

I DROPPED THE NO REPOP PARTS, I WAS CONTRADICTING MYSELF. TECHNICALLY REPOP PARTS ARE ERA CORRECT, THEY ARE JUST NOT MADE IN THE 80s. DIA COMPE, VISCOUNT, DOMINATOR, OAKLEY, AND A FEW OTHER OLD SCHOOL BRANDS STILL MAKE ERA CORRECT PARTS SO I DONT SEE A REASON WHY THEY CANT BE ALLOWED. I BELIEVE IM DONE MAKING CHANGES TO EVERYTHING, I HOPE NONE OF THIS CONFUSES ANYONE. ![]()

WE ARE STILL WORKING ON WHERE WE WANT EVERYTHING SETUP. WE WANT ALL THE BIKES IN A SAFE SPOT SINCE THERE WILL BE BIKE RIDING GOING ON. I CHANGED THE REPOP RULE, IT WAS CONTRADICTING.

Re: Zombieland BMX Customs 1st annual Alabama BMX Show JUNE 9TH 2012
I didn't mean to stir the pot by asking to clarify the rules. I know that the last few shows a few of us have been to did not have anything truthfully describing the classes except the name. I felt after the last show I went to, I would like clarification for myself. I did not to mean to make it difficult for everyone, however I do feel that most of us never really thought about re-issue parts on their bikes, no matter what era.
To be honest, only companies copying parts, whether old school or even now, were called re-pop. I feel the companies that have never gone outta business like Profile, Redline, Dia-Compe, Viscount, Tioga/Kashimax aren't copying their own parts, they re-issue them. I know it creates a big uproar with the "have to be 100% era correct" people, but the good news for our locals who enjoy these shows and credit the good people who put them on, aren't necessarily like that. I'm glad that the judging hasn't been as critical, however for myself, I haven't thought to change out parts for era correct when I already have them. When you want color on your bike, mainly reds & blues, the old school parts are very expensive to get and to be honest, most of my builds are RIDES not statues. I don't need to admire my bikes as much as I like to ride them.
Tyler, I apologize for the clarification I asked for, but I was mainly looking for myself. Nothing showing up to a test and not knowing what's on it. I like to studying prior to taking it. With or without more detailed classes, I'll still be supporting local shows because I like the atmosphere and camaraderie.

I totally agree with showing up at a test not knowing whats on it. It was a good idea from the start to put qualifications and what the bike is judged on. then its clear before everyone gets there. i just had to rethink what i was aying about repop parts and era correct. Guys im not going to nit pick, bring your bikes out!!! ![]()

Re: Zombieland BMX Customs 1st annual Alabama BMX Show JUNE 9TH 2012
I'll be there with a few rides, I love the idea of a flat-land class now I just gotta figure out which one to bring. I do have a few small questions. One, where will the bikes be displayed? Alot of my bikes are on brand new condition and have hardly seen daylight but have never touched the dirt. Will we be in a parking lot or dirt section? If it is on dirt can I bring a 10x20 carpet section? I used to show my car and have it from there and this would encourage me to bring better and more bikes.
Thanks!! And anyone that needs info on the bham area I live in gardendale and know the area very well.

This show is at the park, so I'm going out on a limb and say on grass, not dirt.

the bikes will be setup on the grass, bringing carpet is a great idea!!!! i dont even roll my show bike on the ground so i understand. i would recommend everyone to bring carpet or something to set your bikes on so they stay pretty.

The day I Armor All my bike tires is the day I will put them up for sale. I have rode everyone of my bikes at least down the street and back.
if it can't handle that, why waste the time putting it together.
Depending on if I can get away or not, I may be going the Oak Mountain Saturday.
Dear Friends, I have a spending disorder.
