Re: 1983 Mongoose Pro Class
Why do the Magazine Pro Class Tests say the Pro Class have a 44T Chainwheel by Shimano?
None of the Pro Classes I have seen, have it on?

Well...most magazine tests/articles are based on the very early beginnings of the Pro Class. It was only made between late 1982 and mid-late 1984...so it was not seen with the Pro Class crank set which arrived in late '84 early '85 with the Pro Class power plate and SR chain ring.
Hope that helps.

Re: 1983 Mongoose Pro Class
I dig the black chrome of the PC, but I also find it refreshing to see chrome ones. This one rocks big time.
NEEDED: Hutch magnesium rear hub; Suntour High Flange rear black hub; Front black Sunshine Gyromaster hub
Keep it rad bru!!!!
If you're not having fun, then you're doing it wrong.

Re: 1983 Mongoose Pro Class
Thanks guys...Love the avatar Kyle...just watched it this morning...!!!
Yes...My favorites are the Black Chrome...here is one of my prized gems... http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/mongoose/4256 ...it is an all original 1982 Black Chrome Pro Class...!!!
But...the Show Chrome PC's are really nice too...I have to build up the rest of mine...I have a few more 20" and another 24" I really have to finish up.
