Has anyone had their CHROME ELF powdered or painted the ELF TEAL color

Just curious to know if anyone has successfully duplicated this color in powder or paint? So any of u that may have had a chrome one with bad chrome so u did it teal,or maybe just had the teal redone?

If so,who did it? How'd it turn out? Post some pics if u have any.

My luck is nobody to date has done it lol Im asking because I want a teal elf to park next to my chrome Pro Xl. Ive been looking, and looking, even offering up my brand new bike in trade for 1,even if it isnt complete, but most I find are sky high price wise,or beat to death and need to be restored completely. So i want to try to figure out my options. Maybe it can be redone,or maybe I can settle for a chrome one and do it teal when I can afford it.

So again,if u have any info,please post it big_smile

Thanks,
Dale

Not teal, but this is my buddy's ELF with candy blue powder over chrome.

Re: Has anyone had their CHROME ELF powdered or painted the ELF TEAL color

All the elf frames, the early purple ones that just had the front 3/4 of the frame purple, and the all teal ones were done over chrome so It looks nice and bright. If you wanted to replicate that, youd have to have a nice chrome finish to start with and then have the powder down over that. Otherwise you would have to rechrome then powder. Could be costly depending on the quality of work your going for. Another suggestion would be if you want to test it out, is to find some duplicolor spray can and try to match it if your handy with a spray can. Wouldnt be a show winner but it would give the effect of the real thing. Plus if you didnt like it you could just throw some paint stripper on and return it back the og chrome.

On the look out for Bonzai frames, Cardboard Lords Emanicaptor/Liberator frames, Hawk frames, and anything BRAND X!!!
