My 1985 Dyno D30 Project

I got this bike last year from a good friend of mine who said he wasn't into freestyle bikes.  Thanks JohnnyO!
It had D30 F&F , GT Pro bars and some OG white coaster brake Skyways.

http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc404/Air_Ink/86Dyno.jpg

I planned to build it to ride it and was going to use the coaster brake Skyways.
Then I got it painted (the first time) and the OG Skyways looked yellow compared to the frame.  I have a brand new set of white freewheel skyways for another build I'm doing, but it may go a different direction now, so I decided to use the bright white Skyways.

http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc404/Air_Ink/85Dyno4.jpg

Now the Dyno Summer Buildoff comes along and I got my but in gear.  Then "Spring Brake" came along and I need to get this done! lol

The tear down.

First paint job.

I still don't have a headset, or cranks or bb.  I dont know what I'm doing in the way of cranks yet.  I want OG 3 piece, but my budget says new 3 piece.  I can always change them out down the road.

cool But I agree on the pedals. Get some freestyle pedals and maybe some Primo Powerbite cranks. Can't wait to see finished product. Good luck with your build

Re: My 1985 Dyno D30 Project

Finally got my frame back today.  After him charging me 50% more than his original quote, the first paint job sucked!  There were bare spots with no paint and most of the clear was dry and orange peel.  I went to pick it up today and he wanted even moremoney for fixing his bad workmanship. WTF! mad

So I have the frame back and was told to never go in his shop again, He may have been concenrned that I would actually put the frame where I said. lol   Do not go to Stoli's Autobody in Orange, MA.  His work is crap and his bussiness practices are worse.

On with the build.

Re: My 1985 Dyno D30 Project

After a few hours of sanding and polishing, I felt it was good enough to put on the decals.

Sorry the pictures suck, cameraphone. roll   I still need to find a black headset and figure out my cranks.

It's not "Mint" or "Nos" though... neutral

Not sure it would go good on that pretty bike of yours.

Re: My 1985 Dyno D30 Project

Thanks for the offer.  I have a new Dominator for it, but would have passed on it for an 80's Dyno seat in black for sure.
