70's double drop out forks ?

Not familar w/ these double drop forks. I'm pretty sure their not Speedo, DB, Moto 1 or Bandito Any of you boys know what they are?  Their on a 76 Mongoose I'm picking up tomorrow. Their were recently painted metallic silver sad   Sorry about the bad pic but its all I have to work w/ until tomorrow.

  Thanks for the help:)

LOL  I'm pretty sure all the Speedo drops were at the bottom of the forks legs.  Wish they were Speedo

Are the fork legs capped or do they have inserts in them?

Re: 70's double drop out forks ?

Well I picked up the 76 Goose today w/ the 1st gen Speedo forks.  Purchased the bike from the original owner.  He took the bike apart and painted everything in a two stage urethane years ago.  He even painted the unstamped Tuff I's yikes  Anyway, I just finished stripping the paint on the forks and luckily the original nickel finish was still intact.  Unfortunately, the finish was full of 220 grit DA (orbital sander)marks.  So, I carefully wet sanded one leg of the forks and finished them w/ a nice polish.  Although, I would have preferred to leave the patina, I'm very happy w/ the results.  Their gonna come out amazing!  Also have a set of NOS decals that I picked up Sunday to throw on these bad boys once their done.  So stoked to have these Speedo forks big_smile

Hers's the early 1976 Goose.  Pre date stamp serial # C  17500.  Frame is in great shape.  Gonna take a lot of work to bring back the nickle.  Not looking forward to the hours of wet sanding and polishing.  Oh well, pretty rare bird.  It will be worth it.

Nice!  Honestly, never thought I'd be lucky enough to be Speedo fork owner.  With all the Speedo forks you have, you'd have to be the Grand Master of the Speedo club.
