Im looking for some advice/suggestions regarding a purchase I made with a member out here on the museum. I bought and paid via paypal. The seller confirmed July 17. I have contacted 3 times via email..no repsonse. Whats my solution. Any help would be appreciated. Kikdrum73

i can only wish i had read this thread Before i listed my two bikes last week.
instead,i ended up in one of the worst binds ive ever been in.
paypal was holding our money for 31 days for Each auction.
they also refused to let us pay our bids,with a thousand dollars in the account,and that caused some serious problems.

for you Newbies who are looking to sell on ebay,when you write your auction up,they Wont let you post any other form of payment,which i find to be both a monopoly and criminal,as they are effectively locking you into using paypal only,otherwise you cant even list the items.

Paypal has some really wacked policies going atm,according to the paypal lady i spoke to for over an hour,they changed their policies last year sometime..seems they forgot to inform us tho..hmm.

you cannot touch your money,only if you print shipping labels From paypal,will they even release enough to ship the bikes,and even then,their idea of shipping and the real worlds idea of shipping appear to be Quite different.

you will then get " paid" when the item arrives AND the buyer says hes happy.
if he isnt happy,your money is Toast...your feedback will get whacked,and you will lose everything,fees for paypal,and ebay.

the playing field has definitely become completely onesided as far as fairness goes.
all the buyer has to do is complain and hes got your bike and youve got nothing Minus those fees as well.

the only way to free yourself of paypals policy of holding payments for 31 days is to sell 26 items on ebay.
probably a cakewalk for most of you,but for us little guys,its just anal.
ive renamed both sites as epal and paybay....

great topic,and hopefully people read it and dont go thru what ive gone thru in the last week.

You now can buy 110 yd tape at Walmart for a dollar each. Cheaper to buy 4 for 3.66.
