Well it is not a handout. It was done for me when my dad died unexpectedly and I was trying to sell my grail. I didn't ask and I didn't have to. They did it out of the kindness of their hearts and now I get the chance to pay it forward. I haven't figured out how to copy and paste from my iPhone so when I get home it's on. After all. When I win I want to know that I beat the best lol. No seriously sometimes we all deserve a bone. You deserve this bro.

Re: Summer of 2012 80's Dyno build off entry submission
I appreciate it guys. you all can do what you feel is right, but i am in the judging position right now. i do appreciate the help.
I have been trying to sell stuff but no one is buying. I got the black '87 and the purple '87 and it just seems like no one wants them. I may have listed them high, but i have some in worse shape go for the same price. no one even shot me a price. I guess no one wants a dyno anymore. Sorry for the sob story, but that is where i am at right now. If those parts sell, i could probably do it. But i need to get that $$$$ to help me with this build. We will see how it goes i guess.
thanks again.

Re: Summer of 2012 80's Dyno build off entry submission
Alright, Im in. Restomod Class.
Sorry for the boatload of photos, but yes as I agree with calismooth above, this build-off gives me a reason to finish it.
I got a steal on this 88 Pro Compe. Someone had way too much fun with the rattle can, so Im hand delivering it to my powder coater today.
Here is the build Im going to come close too, a few things I will change as this will be a rider, no carpet queen. Voelker took the 88 catalog proto build that never saw the light of day and made it his own:
Catalog:
What Voelker did to it:
Where Voelker took the frame and added chrome pretzels, post and forks, I will do the same. Where he added black parts, mine will be white as I have 95% of all my GT parts in white.
Heres the frame, bars, post and forks in current condition:

Ill trade anyone the chrome 92 Compe frame seen in this photo (chromes not dirty, just dusty from my shop) for a decent wheel set?
Thanks for getting this up and running Oozy! ![]()

Re: Summer of 2012 80's Dyno build off entry submission
i had posted one photo of the dyno which we've been building up, but after seeing the competition, stepped it up a touch with some new colorways, and some fresh rubber and grips. there was a very signifigant amount of dent filling and sanding and fine tuning that went into this build...hoping it at least turns some heads. because it sure does on the streets.

Re: Summer of 2012 80's Dyno build off entry submission
If anyone has a powdercoater that could work with me and who does OUTSTANDING WORK please let me know. I sent an email to chip and didn't get a reply, but only because shortly after i sent the email asking for some help i sent him one saying that i wouldn't need it cuz i am waaaay short on cash. But if someone has a guy or is a guy that does powder that could help me i would love to hear from you. I guess send me a pm and let me know. That is the only way i can participate. Sorry guys. Still upset about this situation. All my build money just went into tires for my wifes car. She drives about 100 miles a day so she needs to have it. We can't put it off.
anyway, let me know if you know or if you are someone that can do what i need done with powder and work with me on the money end of it. Thanks.
