I am going to get one of the Answer Dagger or Answer Scythe forks and put it on there.

Nice, I may think of getting a scythe or bombshell or dagger for mine as well. I'll try to be staying era correct for everything. Wouldnt the era for this be new school?

If so, I just want the full lightest possible weight race bike but with some exotic as possible cranks that are light as possible. I'm hoping for cranks in white or ano green.

I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy. smile

Nice, I'm thinking of trying to find a mint or nos hanebrink fork for it but im not sure that's the same era as this frame, otherwise a scythe or bombshell or dagger for mine as well. I'll try to be staying era correct for everything. Wouldnt the era for this be new school?

Re: NOS AUBURN CRUISER

I hope you are getting your frame soon. I decided to hang my Auburns together and take a picture to make you drool a little more. big_smile I got the brakes, headset should arrive today, and forks hopefully by the end of the week. By the way. Seatpost is  not a 28.6mm. It is larger than 27.2, and smaller than 28.6. I'm just going to use a shim and use the 27.2 to make it easier. big_smile

Ididnt even care, I was like a kid in a candy store, or on Christmas getting a gift and opening it up. The wind caught the packing peanuts and started scattering them everywhere. I had to hold and caress the new auburn. That's all I cared about. lol

Re: NOS AUBURN CRUISER

Just picked up the green one in the fs section and can't wait to join this club.  I haven't desided on how I'm going to fix the rear up yet it's between polished, black or blue.  But I got another set of these blue Rythym cranks that are going to be sweet on it.

Congrats. I just got mine and I am still amazed how sick of a frame this is. It's so light and strong.

Take some pics. I love pics.

Does the sticker on the seatmast say it's made in USA?

MADE IN U.S.A.

Thermal count is rising, In perpetual writhing. The primordial ooze, And the sanity they lose. Awakened in the morning, To more air pollution warnings. Still we sleepwalk off to work, While our nervous systems jerk. Pretending not to notice, How history had forebode us. With the green house in effect, Our environment was wrecked. Now, I can only laugh, As I read our epitaph. We end our lives as moles, In the dark of DAWN PATROL

Re: NOS AUBURN CRUISER

Mine just came in, I'll get some pics up when I get it unpacked.  It would seem as it might be a prototype as it dosnt have the A in the rear of the top tube behind the seat.

Re: NOS AUBURN CRUISER

I'm leaning towards polishing the rear to look like the great 90's bikes, but the shop I want to use is closed this week.  Either way from the few specs I've measured so far it looks to be a comfortable quick frame.  22" TT. 14 7/8" min on the chain stays.  And the seat post is a 28.2 but uses the 31.8 clamp.

Re: NOS AUBURN CRUISER

The headtube angle on mine feels odd. I've never  had a 24" cruiser (only 20" bmx or 26" dirt jumpers), so I have nothing to compare to, but when I stand up to sprint, it feels different.

Looks cool still, the seat is way too high I think though. Maybe your bars are not back or forward enough.......

The seat tube has a dent halfway down and that's as far as the 400mm post goes down in it uncut. These frames seat clamp sits a good 2" lower than most frames.  I also think the launchpad seat makes it look off being so big.  But I'm a tall guy and it actually rides great the way it is.  So I'll leave it like this for around the hood, and have another setup for the track.

Re: NOS AUBURN CRUISER

Really happy with how it turned out.  Only thing left that's bugging me is the seat post clamp.  Can't find a matte black w/ blue bolt to match the stem.  But that shouldn't be to hard to mix and match to get one.  And my son enjoyed his first ride on a Auburn also, as evident by the wee-ride bar.
