Latest rider finally done, 1986 Redline RL20II....KANDYFORNIA RED.....

big_smile

cool

Okay, here it is finally......now I know there are a lot of purists on this forum that may not agree with some of the things I've done on this build. I am not a purist, never was, I build my bikes the way I like them, use the parts that work best for me, and if something is not up to my standard I am refinishing it, whether it is nos or not.

i would like to ask that you please respect my opinion and do not bash on my thread.

Thanks!

Now on to the pics!!

Good luck bashing this beast.............Man dude, you friggin rocked the sh%& out of this bike. Damn........and more power to you for building a bike that meets YOUR needs and standards. You killed this bike, as did you on your Standard. Too bad it wasn't the right fit for you. It was truely a work of art:) This one rolls me back to the 80's......Redline will always be the king of bikes in the 80's to me.

Re: Latest rider finally done, 1986 Redline RL20II....KANDYFORNIA RED.....

Thanks guys....I really took my time with this one, no detail was left unchecked. The color is absolutely amazing and cannot be caught on film. Although this may appear to be a carpet queen it is not....I do not build show bikes, ALL my bikes are riders used in hardcore old school flatland.

I hear you on that but believe me, if you actually freestyle with your bike ALL the other old school headsets are garbage....Epoch is the ONLY headset I run.

Epoch with spring loaded collar NEVER comes loose......do it once and be done with it.

Yeah, I know some people consider this seat cheap looking but I tell you what, it is the most comfortable seat ever for a ride out to a session or down the street.

Re: Latest rider finally done, 1986 Redline RL20II....KANDYFORNIA RED.....

that bike is Amazing.  Looks so good.

I think a straight post with the saddle slid back looks better than a layback with the saddle forward.

But it is just something else man, what a good looking machine.  I'd have a hard time not riding it.

I bet you enjoy riding it.  Does everything work well?

I'll find out tonight what needs to be adjusted at the jam Session. And believe me I would never put a laid back seat post on a RL20II but this was the only rail type chrome one i could find.
