Re: 2011 Haro 500.1
Very nice man..
You have a heck of collection goin on..
Like the new bike, hows it ride?
NEED 99 HARO MASTER FORKS. They don't have to be in minty condition...
Wife loves it when another package shows up in the mail..
Question is, is the spoon really there?

Re: 2011 Haro 500.1
Added a couple decals to the forks and bottom bracket today, and swapped out some clear pads on the brake.

Re: 2011 Haro 500.1
Awesome bike. I've had my eye on this model for awhile. I finally ordered one about two days ago. So are the forks and cranks in a "raw" finish? About how long is the seatpost? Dig the new decals! The one on the bottom bracket reminds me of the decal on my '88 Master. Same location, frame color, and chevron color! ![]()

Re: 2011 Haro 500.1
Thanks. Bars, forks, and cranks are clear over raw. The seat post is steel and about 6 inches long. I've already swapped it out with one from another bike. The decals were extras from my FST, my plan is to make this look more like a modern version of the team Sport from 88.

Re: 2011 Haro 500.1
This has become my go to bike for all of my riding now. If you haven't given new school a try, you're missing out. I'm trying out some different parts and set ups right now, trying to get this dialled just right. I'm leaning towards going black and white, and losing all the blue eventually.

Nice! I just picked up a used Haro SD frame. My first new-school. Not quite done but so far I'm digging it.

Re: 2011 Haro 500.1
Had to take the front brake off, the plate is too narrow to accommodate the fat tire. I'll probably be switching out tires here soon, either tanwall or whitewalls.

Re: 2011 Haro 500.1
Found the perfect inspiration for my bike! This is Pat Casey's new team model from Haro. Hopefully when I'm done it will look similar. I don't plan on going LHD or using all of the same parts, but aesthetically speaking, this is the look I'm going for.
If you're not familiar with Pat or his riding check him out here:

Re: 2011 Haro 500.1
Starting to get this one where I want it. It rides super solid, and with the 28-9 gearing it really hauls ass too. Looking to upgrade the hubs to a Profile set and maybe try a dual cable set up for the brakes.
Went from this stock setup:
