Repop
Why is it repop and not repro? Repro stands for reproduction, what does repop stand for? Repopulation?
Anyway, my apologies if this has been answered.
Have tons of punk/HC vinyl and will trade for bike stuff .. send me a PM!

I have no idea. I've only seen "repop" used here, and here is the only place I use it. ![]()
I don't ride a BMX bike to look cool to others, I do it because it's fun and never do I think "Boy I sure am cool on my BMX bike."

Re: Repop
Both terms are used as slang for reproduction. Not sure of the origin.

Re: Repop
In other hobbies this is what it refers too
Reproduction - Comes from a new source, typically someone taking an original item and trying to duplicate it as best they can to match the original.
Repop - Typically comes from the original toolings of that item, that may have been out of production for years, either by the original company or a new company that has acquired the toolings / molds.

I thought you were gonna say "to wipe again". ![]()
Okay, now I'm officially not a noob anymore because I've been here long enough to have seen this question more than once. The answers given before are similar as above. To the affect that it's a slang reference to "popping" them out of like a cooke cutter.

Used very commonly in the musclecar lingo. Repop this...repro that...same thing. In other words, a new part you never could find unless it was well used.
Wanted- White Industries Freewhee 19T and 20T, Mongoose Stainless Steel bars for a Moosegoose, and Big Gulp bars- because I think they look goofy enough to cruise with!

Re: Repop
I wouldn't even say it for the longest time. I stuck with repro until I read and heard it enough it started to sound normal.

I like when people refer to it as repo. Wouldn't that be repossession?

Are you sure those definitions aren't backwards?
