Re: MY NEW RIDE!
I totally agree with Letherman........ The OS bikes are great to look at but there is no substitute for mid-new school geometry and ride ability. I am a product of the 80's and will always be an OS guy but they are just too expensive to have lying around anymore.
I have sold off all but one of my OS bikes and parts and have just built a new 24" S&M DB and am currently building a '99 Holmes ![]()

They do make longer seat posts for NS bikes.I can name three companies that make a long post.

Dont get me wrong it looks pretty cool and I know they are great quality bikes, but how do you go from colors and chrome to " murdered out yo "
I am thinking of picking up a New school to ride, I hear they ride much much better, but its getting tore down and getting some personality , thinking of getting a Sunday , sending to chip for
some dayglow pink.!
Once you go NS,you will never go back to riding OS again.....well maybe just to cruise around the block.
You don't have to have parts sent out for custom painting/powdercoating,currently there are alot of different colors to choose from if you go custom.

Re: MY NEW RIDE!
Cool lookin bike Ken, I would loose the white peds & white walls and throw black on it.
Thats just me, I think all blacked out with that little bit of chrome would be killer ![]()

Sundays come in Pink, Green, Orange and all of their parts reflect the same color. Chrome on a frame is rare these dyas unless you want to drop serious coin. The process is costly these days with the EPA pounding on doors all the time. Only the big boys still offer chrome as an option and stilol then it isnt always available.
The Day-Glos were only around for a few years in the evolution of Freestle and BMX. Realisticly it was a blip or a trend a best. The thing is it was at the time when Freestyle was very trendy and any damn fool with $300-$550 at their disposal could have one even if it was only a ride to get them to football practice, it was trendy.
I agree that some style is needed when it comes to any of my bikes, thats who I am, so I built this beast. 2010 Mourning Star with a splash of umph!

Most of those frames with the built in Pivotal post you can cut it off and run a regular seat post in, might want to check it out and see if that one is the same. Some even have a "cut line" and a slit in the back so its super easy.
