1982 Haro Freestyler

This is my Haro Freestyler that I got as soon as it was released. Tried to set it up as close to Haro's as possible.

Took this back out of my parents basement to let my son ride it and show him the first purpose made BMX Freestyle frame. Bike has Torker Forks (carried over from my Torker bike), Original first Gen. Redline flight cranks, GT bars, Tuff Neck stem, Skywheel Tough Wheels II mags, Suntour seat post clamp, Tioga seat post, Dia Compe brakes, Bare trap peddles (not on bike in picture), and Kashimax Seat. I even put the clear grip tape on the top tubes.

Re: 1982 Haro Freestyler

It was a warm winter day about 20 years ago, I was in for the weekend from school and me and some buddies went to a strip mall that was being built and inside there was some ramps set up.  We were jumping the ramps and on one of my jumps I had a bad set up and had to bail.  That is when the seat got chiped.  Over 20 years later that building is now the Marshalls store that I am the store Manager of.

Re: 1982 Haro Freestyler

tht is a nice haro now adays they dont put nearly as much work into the designing and everythign else nowadays they all look like mongooses and stuff i think we all remember when they put as much work into it as closely detailed as painting the chain.

Re: 1982 Haro Freestyler

this is not an original first of all there are 3 piece cranks (the original bike had one piece cranks but the re-issue did) there is a gyro system (the re-issue also had the gyro system)

I must missed this, but now that I see this I have to respond

First the bike is the original, I built it from the frame up.  The cranks on the bike are first generation flight cranks, the gyro I put on a couple of years ago just for ease.

So dude You don't know what you are talking about.

Re: 1982 Haro Freestyler

Nice bike!!  I recently got my haro freestyler out of my mom and dads crawlspace that had been sitting for over 27 years.  It's nice to see there is still a few kicking around.

I knew a guy that thought Dorf was a real....ah...little person. I asked how he thought he could fall back and spring right up like that. He didn't know.
