Rarest of the rare Murray cruisers (maybe)
1980 Murray Cruiser
Not sure of the actual model. The frame only has a manufacturer sticker on seat post tube with the year and a Murray headbadge sticker. This thing has Araya 7c's wrapped in Yellow Mitsuboshi Comp III's, laced to a Sugino hub up front, a 2 speed Sturmey out back. Also features 180mm Takagi cranks, Sugino Chainwheel, Double clamp Mongoose style stem, Bultaco Motocross bars, Troxel seat, Sugino seat post clamp, Dia Compe 890's, and a Murray/Wrangler pad set. Let me know if you have info on this particular frame... I was told it was a one year only deal.

nice bike I just striped a 26" murray bike frame was not werth saveing. but after seeing yours maybe I should have tryed.you got a nice old bike verey clean looking.
Show bikes are nice. but bikes wear ment to be Petaled

They are actually mountaion bike frames but everyone converts them to BMX style cruisers. I will see if I can find the old magazine scan with them in it. I had one myself. Will add to my collection & post

I just pulled one of these out of a barn as a donation. 03/81 build date. All original parts, paint, and decals. Still in MTB form. Needs a good clean up but a cool bike.
