Re: 1977 Concord Demon
I think that I might have bought the bike that andreus82 was talking about. I bought a chrome Demon DX at a flea marketish 'garage sale'' in Alliance, Ohio today for $30. It is all original except for the tires and in excellent condition. It is a true survivor bike.
What I want to know, though, is how can you determine what year these bikes are since there is so little information available on Concord bikes?
The numbers stamped on the rear wheel tabs are 3291163 on the left tab and G1083 on the right tab.
My dad had a Concord '10 Speed Streak' when he was in elementary school growing up in the late 70's and kids told him that it was a fake because there was no such thing as a 20" 10 speed!

Re: 1977 Concord Demon
sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I posted mine as a 1977 because when I was 8 years old a kid in my neighborhood had one just like this one. The only difference is his seat was blue and mine is black.

Re: 1977 Concord Demon
If you notice the stem is a one pice design. Back in the day this was called a "GOOSE NECK" This is what was used on all the bikes until the 2 pice Pro-Neck style came out. I'm not sure when that was, I'm guessing around 79 or 80.

Re: 1977 Concord Demon
Concord is Kuwahara, the company was sold and they used this name until the the early 80's Howie Cohen went with kuwhara when the united states bmx boom and the move E.T. helped the Kuwahara name as well. Road bikes were still labeled as concord up untill howie sold it back to a member of the kuwahara family......so now you know watch concord bike prices skyrocket or be rebadged.
If I owe you feedback please pm me.
