86 green and Chrome, best bike ever period.

yeah they did. it might not of had the full name of "ground" master but it was a master. same as 91 but no rear peg mounts.

Yep just a Master.
The Ground Master was 91 only.
Don't get me wrong I love the 92 Master its just not technically a Ground Master.

Thats like saying the 85 and 86 Master are the same thing.
Both the 91/92 and the 85/86 are 99% the same but that 1% sets them apart.
I love all 4 so it really doesn't matter that much to me......just sayin'.

I own 3 Haro Masters 85....86 an 87 I would have to say the 87 is better to ride than the other 2 just seams more solid ,,,,don,t get me wrong I love all 3 but the 87 is different to the other 2 I can,t explain it .....

I tell ya, I built up my 84, and I don't think I've ridden a nicer riding bike. One thing that struck me, was the weight. It is significantly lighter than any of my other Masters, and geometry feels great.

I agree with Raven, the 87/88 are just built so solid. I don't worry about much on them.

91/92 still always win with functionality.

Agreed!

You can see that they simplified the design - but kept all the right aspects from the 87-88 design.
Streamlined - light - and with perfect geometry.

I like not having to put pegs on the rear axle....so personally for me I like the 91 better than the 92.
This post reminds me of Billy Madison with all the conflicting opinions.

I also love the megatube Masters of 93,94,95.
Its the only Master I had back in the day that I don't own at this moment.

Personally,I love the 88 haro master.the steering on the bike is very quick,although i have seen these frames crack at the seat post.I had one that cracked at the seat post. I have been lucky to find another one in near mint condition almost 20 yrs. later.
