1981 REDLINE MX2 Build

Here is one of my favorite builds to date. I really loved this exact bike as a kid. Her body parts are:

Thanks guys, I remember staring at one just like this as it was on the counter at my local bike shop. I would just dream of having it. My mom thought otherwise! Now its BMX as much as I want!!!LOL!

I've since put on an NOS Suntour Seat post clamp and a refurbed DC MX1000 Brake caliper.

Yes nice one I was always a sucka for white RedLines. I keep seeing a chrome w/ some cheap parts on CL for 300 complete. It may end up being mine.

I remember this bike as a kid...the brake lever with the finger forming whatever you call it is what fascinated me. That and the forks, for some reason the white forks with the red "redline" drove me crazy. Always wanted one as a kid...beautiful.

I agree with you 100%. The Schwinn store I hung around had one exactly like this and a black one as well. That very memory is what drove me to start building bikes again!
