1985 Schwinn Predator Qualifier
1985 Schwinn Predator Qualifier
good example of a good ol predator. I got this bike for 10.00 at a yardsale. looks almost all orig. it has Sugino crank, Sakae stem, Dia Comp brakes, Femco rims, mushroom grips, SR pedals, cheng shen tires, and best of all a HUTCH seat which was hidden under a gel seat cover when i bought it...

That looks quite original. I bought this bike new, back in the day. I loved that bike and rode the hell out of it.

Re: 1985 Schwinn Predator Qualifier
I just picked up one of these yesterday. I was told mine was an 88, but not for sure, looks very similar to yours, basically same parts... sugino crank, sakae stem, dia comp brakes and I think Femco rims as well. Were these all the original parts? I posted some pics up on the "catchall of BMX fun" section.

Re: 1985 Schwinn Predator Qualifier
Very nice bike! I have this exact bike. I'm currently restoring my '85 Qualifier myself and will post pics when I'm finished. I screwed up and did not take pics before restoration began but It looks great! I love looking at these bikes because they take me back.
