1980 Apollo Scorpio
this is an apollo scorpio, i took the decals off
i now call this a banana bike lol the best thing i love about this is the CW bar. i have never heard or seen this bike around so information is very very limited. i added yellow tyres which only cost me 4quid each it was a low budget build and my first too

Hi, I've just read your posts about this Apollo, I found one 5 years ago at the local tip, they let me take it away for free, it sat in my loft covered for 5 years and i forgot about it. untill i got involved painting bmx bikes for vincent frames in the uk where i live, being a paint sprayer I then decided to start restoring Bmx bikes as a hobby. Mine it's totally original with pad set, I've matched the paint and repainted it after shot blasting, now adding a few little bits like dia compe mx 1000 brakes. I'll add photos when complete, but great to see one as I've searched high and low to see what this Bmx is and if anyone else has one??

I used to have this bike in the 80's. I remember it well and far as i remember it was £120 from Halfords (UK ). The white mag wheels used to get a lot of attention. The seat was white with a yellow thunder bolt.
